The
Southern Region
La Manga / Los Alcazares /
Murcia
To either have a holiday home or be a resident in the area of Los
Alcazares is like a dream come true. To experience this we would
recommend spending time in the area enjoying the facilities
available. Within this beautiful and tranquil environment exists
some of the most outstanding leisure and sporting facilities, three
world class golf courses, one of the best equipped tennis centres in
Europe, beach clubs with marvellous water sports close at hand,
numerous swimming pools, restaurants and bars, a casino and a host
of other leisure facilities which make this area beyond compare. Set
in 1500 acres on the Southern Costa Calida 'The Warm Coast' where
flowers and orchards flourish in the year long sunshine, you will
find the hidden world of La Manga Club, a green valley sheltered by
the Murcian hills and fringed by the deep blue of the Mediterranean
Sea.
Alcazares is 68kms from Alicante's International Airport and
connected by the motorway. San Javier (Murcia) Airport is only 2Kms
away.

Murcia, the
inland capital, is famous for its narrow streets and 14th century
cathedral and, of course, the growing of salad produce for export.
Cartagena is a busy town named after the Cathaginians who captured
it 2000 years ago.
The Mar Menor is the Southern Costa Calida's most distinctive
feature, cut off from the seas by the long sandy La Manga
breakwater. The water in this 65 sq. mile lagoon always seems to be
warm even in the Winter, it usually averages 65 degrees F. During
the warm sunny Spring, the countryside is splashed with vivid
colours of blossom and flowers. In the Summer the beaches are
gloriously hot and inland the citrus fruits ripen in the orchards.
In the balmy heat of the Autumn yet more colours appear on the
landscape. Extensive white sand dunes, along with the crystal
waters, the salt marches that shelter large colonies of herons and
flamingos, make this a unique area.

Map of
the Southern Region

The Northern Region
Moraira lies conveniently midway between the international airports
of Alicante and Valencia which are connected to all major European
airports. The luxury of a fine motorway connecting the two cities speeds
the way to this acknowledged beauty area of the Northern Costa Blanca.
The spectacular journey from either Valencia or Alicante through
terraced mountains and valleys green and lush with ripening orange
groves and almond plantations gives the region its name, Northern Costa
Blanca.

The Mid Region
The town of Torrevieja lies approx. 45 kms. south of Alicante, the
towering pyramids of white salt and the echoes of habaneras floating in
the air are two of the main things that seem to remain in the memories
of visitors to this area, but Torrevieja has much more to offer as it
has a long seafaring tradition, a privileged climate, excellent beaches
and modern infrastructure which have made it one of the major
attractions on the Mediterranean coastline.
